Decision:
To accept the
report and to approve the Capital Strategy for 2025/26.
Minutes:
The Finance Cabinet Member,
Councillor Huw Wyn
Jones, presented a report providing a high-level overview of how capital
expenditure, capital financing and treasury management activity contribute to
the provision of local public services. The report also provided an overview of
how associated risks were managed, and the implications for future financial
sustainability.
In presenting the report, the Cabinet Member
drew attention to paragraph 6.4 of Appendix C to the report 'Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Considerations' which had been amended following Councillor Cai
Larsen's notice of motion to the Council meeting of 3 October,
2024. He noted that the Strategy
confirmed that the Council was committed to being a responsible investor, giving consideration to all the environmental, social and
governance factors when investing.
RESOLVED to accept the report and to approve the Capital Strategy for
2025/26.
