WHISTLEBLOWING POLICY AND PROCEDURE FOR MEMBERS To consider
the whistleblowing policy and procedure for elected members. Additional documents:
Decision: • That the Committee declared support
for the policy and asked the Monitoring Officer to make changes in line with
his response to members' comments. |

EDUCATION TRANSPORT POLICY The present
the draft Education Transport Policy following a consultation period on proposals
to amend the content of the current policy. Additional documents:
Decision: 1. To accept the report and note the
observations. 2. To ask the Cabinet to pay particular
attention to the Empty Seats Scheme when making a decision. 3. To recommend to the Cabinet Member for
Education: • That consideration should be given to
modifying the Draft Education Transport Policy to designate parishes rather
than distance in terms of transportation to faith schools. • To look at reducing the number of
forms that parents of pupils with Additional Learning Needs had to complete. |

PERFORMANCE REPORT OF THE CABINET MEMBER FOR EDUCATION For
Committee Members to scrutinise performance matters within the Department. Additional documents:
Decision: 1. To accept the report and note the
observations. 2. To ask the Head of Education to share
national comparative data on de-registration with members of the Committee
together with the Youth Service Annual Report. 3. That there was a need to look at
including information and data in relation to pupils' attainment in the future
performance report. 4. That the Committee scrutinised the
situation in relation to de-registration and Elective Home Education as part of
its work programme when timely. |
