SUPPLEMENTARY PLANNING GUIDANCE FOR ADOPTION: AFFORDABLE HOUSING PDF 58 KB To submit a report by Team Leader, Joint Planning
Policy Unit Additional documents:
Minutes: Presentation by Bob Thomas explaining the
changes to the guidance since its introduction to the Joint Local Development
Plan Panel on 22 March 2019 and asking the Committee to approve the proposed
response to observations received during the public consultation period
regarding the Supplementary Planning Guidance and to adopt the Guidance. Matters raised: ·
A
question was raised by Cllr Owain Williams regarding the relevance of the
Sustainability Assessment and the Habitats Regulations Assessment regarding the
re-introducing eagles to the area. ·
Cllr
Kenneth Hughes agreed that the term "local" in the Guidance was
suitable and that it would assist local people to obtain affordable housing. Response: ·
It
was explained that assessments undertaken in accordance with relevant
Regulations were screening opinions about the Sustainability Evaluation and
Habitats Regulations Assessment of the Guidance and that the observation was
irrelevant to the SPG. However, it was
agreed that it was an important message and that it would be a matter to raise
with relevant departments within individual Councils rather than at this
meeting. Decision – To accept
the recommendation to approve the response to the observations received about
the Supplementary Planning Guidance and to adopt this Guidance. To conclude the meeting, the Chief Planning
Officer noted that Rebeca Jones had been appointed as the new manager of the
Joint Planning Policy Unit and that she would commence in her role at the end
of May 2019. |
